Portfolios: Seeing in Series
DoDo Jin Ming: Free Element limited edition portfolio

Free Element is the title Chinese-born artist DoDo Jin Ming has given her black and white seascapes made between 2001 and 2003. The title speaks more of the emotional and spiritual side of nature, rather than the specifics of place or time.  These turbulent and poetic images transport the viewer to a precipice about to be submerged under a cascade of water, a precipice that often put the photographer at great personal risk.

Six photographs from this powerful and critically acclaimed series are now available as a set, contained within a handsome custom made clothbound portfolio box. Coordinated by Vicki Harris, published by Laurence Miller Gallery, Free Element is limited to 33 numbered sets plus 7 Artist’s Proofs. The prints are approximately 11 x 14,” mounted to 18 x 22” archival museum board. Each mounted photograph is signed and numbered by the artist.
