48 x 60" cibachome print, edition 5

Stephane Couturier relishes the notion of exploring an urban city with a strong history and documenting the layers of change that he finds in that city. An elusive sense of scale and ambiguous awareness of abstraction run throughout all his images of construction sites in Paris, Dresden and Berlin. His artworks have been exhibited in numerous European exhibitions and belong to several museum collections, including the National Gallery of Canada, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Cleveland Museum of Art.
