Ray Metzker Composites
| From April 18 - June 15, 2002, Laurence Miller Gallery will present fourteen unique "Composites" by Philadelphia based artist Ray Metzker. Considered by many Metzker’s most important series, these newly constructed "Composites" have just been assembled from recently discovered vintage prints made in the mid-60’s. As is his custom to experiment and concentrate on darkroom work each winter, these newly uncovered prints afforded Metzker, at age 70, a fresh opportunity to finally complete a body of work begun over 30 years ago. This will be the first time these newly completed works will be exhibited. |
