Laurence Miller Gallery's first 57th Street gallery, opened in New York City in 1984.

August, 2020
We are excited to announce that Laurence Miller Gallery, after 36 years as a public place, having presented over 300 exhibitions and participated in 50 international art fairs, will pivot to a private space. Working from home, we are returning to our original mission: collaboration on an individual basis with artists, collectors, curators, writers and others passionate about photography and contemporary art.

Without question the opportunities and applications available from the internet today make this transition from public to private more viable, more global, and certainly more prudent than ever before.

Associate Director Jacob Cartwright will continue to expand our popular series PHOTOGRAPH OF THE WEEK, as well as our program of online exhibitions and select virtual art fairs. Jacob has preserved all previous POTW's on our website, and I encourage you to browse through them to refresh yourself on the broad range of artists, estates and individual artworks that we will continue to engage and support going forward.

We thank you all for helping make this journey as extraordinary as it has been. Don't be surprised if down the road, when our planet offers a safer environment to gather, you will receive an invitation to a public exhibition.  We just love sharing pictures.
