Every now and then an exceptional print of a great photograph comes our way. Often this is the result of a decades-long relationship with an artist, such as Ray Metzker, with whom I began to collaborate in the late 1970’s at LIGHT Gallery. We are delighted to announce that the family of Ray’s brother Carl has consigned to us this rare early print of Ray’s classic “kayak” that he presented to Carl in 1969.
Fifty years later the print remains in excellent condition, on its original mount, with Ray’s signature, printing notes and date on verso.
