Luca Campigotto was born in Venice and, as a native son, it's no surprise that his way of seeing is in perfect harmony with northern Italy's iconic floating city. Favoring the quietude of evening and dusk, his pictures show the city in moments of dreamlike repose. In this photograph Campigotto's long exposure transforms one of Venice's many side canals into a tranquil mirror that, like Venice itself, seems suspended outside of the flow of time.
