Since the first time I encountered this wonderful picture by Harry Callahan at LIGHT Gallery in the mid-1970's, it has never lost its ability to give me great pleasure. As July comes to an end, and our imminent vacation comes into focus, I wanted to spend more time just getting lost in the details that Callahan so gently captured to perfection one late summer afternoon.
Rather than suggest an inventory of what I see and hear, I will show restraint and just simply invite you to look slowly into this vista of sand and sky and enjoy the serenity that Harry Callahan experienced so deeply, and desired to share so freely.
