Andy Warhol, with help from his photographic assistant Christopher Makos, collaborated on portraying Andy in drag, employing various wigs and makeup. In hindsight, we see a direct correlation with Man Ray's partnership with Marcel Duchamp, in which the two men created a female alter ego for Duchamp, named Rrose Sélavy.
